When you have more needs than you can meet, the LIFT OFF! program can fill in the gaps.

We developed the LIFT OFF! to Literacy program for schools because we believe that every student should have access to an effective structured literacy program! Oftentimes, the number of students needing reading intervention exceeds the amount of teachers available. With the LIFT OFF! program, we provide students with pre-recorded Orton-Gillingham lessons, so that EVERY student can receive the intervention they need!

Science Based, Student Approved

The LIFT OFF! to Literacy program provides students with a structured and systematic approach to phonics instruction.

The LIFT OFF! to Literacy program is easy for teachers to implement.

We know teachers have a lot to juggle, so we've made implementation of the program easy! After assessing students with the placement assessment, teachers only need to do the following:

☑️ Print lesson materials
☑️ Help students log in
☑️
Start each student in their recommended skill group of lessons

Then, the program runs itself! Students will interact with the lessons, and complete the supplemental materials during and after each lesson.

What's Included

For each new concept, we include 2 days of recorded lessons, along with a decodable word list, encoding page, decodable reader, and to do list that helps to keep your students motivated and on track! All printable materials are delivered in a PDF format for easy printing.

Decodable Word List

At the end of the Day 1 lesson, a decodable word list is introduced. Students are taught how to code words, scoop and read phrases, and read sentences with fluency. Three smiley faces on each list are a visual reminder to practice reading through the page three times total. Several of the words, phrases, and sentences from the word list are also found in the decodable reader!

Encoding Page

During the Day 2 lesson, students complete an encoding page while they practice writing sounds, words and a sentence. This portion of the lesson is modeled after the "What Says?", Simultaneous Oral Spelling (S.O.S.) and Dictation portion of an Orton Gillingham lesson. Students are also guided through using a C.O.P.S. checklist to edit their sentence before checking it together.

Decodable Reader

At the end of the Day 2 lesson, a decodable reader is introduced. Students can find, highlight, and read all of the words with the new pattern before reading. Each decodable reader features interesting illustrations and a storyline that makes sense! The back of each reader includes three comprehension questions for discussion, and a chart of sight words, vocabulary words to preview, and words containing the new pattern.

"My To Do List"

Each new concept includes a to-do list of tasks. Students can check off each task as they complete it. At the bottom of each to-do list is a customizable coupon that helps to keep students motivated and working towards their reward!
